Sample of Microlearning course I worked

ASTM Microlearning is e-learning training courses on ASTM standards for stakeholders within the industry. The courses, each lasting 15 minutes, focused on key test procedures related to ASTM standards in areas such as cement, petroleum, and plastics. With the objective of delivering essential knowledge to learners, I successfully developed a total of seven comprehensive microlearning courses from start to end.

The project followed the SAM (Successive Approximation Model) model, which guided the step-by-step process from start to finish. Here is an overview of the key stages:

1. Information gathering

To ensure a solid foundation, I began by gathering the learning goals from subject matter experts (SMEs). Additionally, I dedicated time to thoroughly reading and comprehending the given ASTM standard document content, familiarizing myself with the test topics and procedures.

2. Design

With a clear understanding of the learning objectives, I proceeded to design storyboards for the microlearning courses. These storyboards served as blueprints, outlining the structure and flow of the content.

3. Build

Using the storyboards as a guide, I meticulously crafted the interactive elements and possible interactions for each section of the content. This step involved translating the envisioned experience into a tangible prototype using Articulate RiseWhile exploring and utilizing advanced features within the Articulate platform, I created a new function that proved to be highly valuable. This functionality became a resource for multiple teams within the organization to develop more user-focused course.

4. Iteration

I engaged with senior instructional designers, actively seeking feedback and making necessary revisions based on their recommendations. Continuous communication and collaboration allowed me to refine the courses and enhance their effectiveness.

5. Feedback from SMEs

To ensure accuracy and correctness, I actively reflected feedback from subject matter experts to improve the quality of the course. Their expertise was invaluable in assessing the content's correctness and relevance.

6. Final Submission

After incorporating all the feedback and conducting thorough testing, the finalized microlearning courses were ready for submission. This marked the culmination of the development process, representing the result of meticulous planning, design, and collaboration.
